A Class about the Components Needed for ALL Low Voltage Systems

After completing this class, participants will understand the basic components for Telephone, Paging, Data, T.V., Intrusion, Electronic Access Control, and CCTV systems. They will also learn how to develop an infrastructure that can do all these systems whether traditional, hybrid, or IP.

This class was originally presented at the BICSI Fall Conference 2009 but has been expanded and updated.

Once enrolled in the class, participants will have access to all materials on the class. The class is self-paced, so the participant is able to complete the work at a comfortable speed. The class includes 10 modules. Each module contains the following:

1. Video lessons: Internet lectures are given by Eric J. Marshall, RCDD, TECH, NTS, Certified Trainer. The videos range in length, from 13 minutes to 1 hour, totaling to 5 hours of content.
2. PDF handouts: The handouts contain the drawings that are presented during the video lessons. Participants are encouraged to print out the notes to follow along during the presentation.
3. Interactive diagrams: These interactive diagrams are used to reinforce the material presented. Participants are given a diagram, and they must match the correct wording and coloring that corresponds with a particular concept.
4. Quizzes: After completing each module, participants take a quiz. At the end of all the modules is a test that must be passed in order to receive certification.
5. Question Forum: Participants have the ability to ask questions or share opinions using the provided forum.
